For non-bulk packagings each side of the MARINE POLLUTANT marking must be at least 100 mm (3.9 inches) [48-HMLS] and for bulk packagings each side of the marking must be at least 250 mm (9.8 inches) [40-TPP]. The MARINE POLLUTANT marking may be displayed in black lettering on a white square-on-point configuration having the same outside dimensions as a placard.
